## Agent Capital Markets Overview

* **\~70% of Uniswap transactions** already come from bots and agents (Messari). Uniswap is the de facto settlement layer for Agent Capital Markets.
* **AI agent token market cap** reached $7.7B+ with $1.7B daily trading volume.
* **Delphi Digital** (Feb 2026): "The Agent Capital Markets Has Arrived" — "AI agents are becoming sovereign economic entities that have verifiable identities, portable reputations, and the ability to transact autonomously."
* **Stablecoin market** exceeds $300B; the GENIUS Act provides regulatory clarity for agent-driven payment systems.

## Agent Capital Markets Infrastructure

* **x402 protocol** (Cloudflare) has processed **100M+ agent-to-agent transactions** (Delphi Digital, Feb 2026) with \~200ms settlement on Base. V2 shipped with wallet-based identity, automatic API discovery, and multichain via CAIP standards.
* **ERC-8004** (agent identity standard, co-authored by MetaMask + Google) launched mainnet Jan 29, 2026 with **24,500+ agents registered in the first week**. Three singleton registries per chain: Identity (ERC-721 NFTs), Reputation (signed fixed-point feedback with tagged dimensions), and Validation (zkML/TEE/stake-secured verification).
* **BankrBot** (220K+ wallets, 2M+ messages) demonstrates self-funding agents that earn fees, pay for compute, and trade on Uniswap autonomously.

## Uniswap Ecosystem

* **Clanker** routes $5B+ in agent token volume through Uniswap V4, generating $49.7M in creator fees from 585K+ tokens.
* **Warden Labs** processed 650K+ swaps via the Uniswap Trading API in 3 weeks (500K+ users).
* **Uniswap V4** has processed **$110B+ cumulative volume** across 10+ chains since Jan 30, 2025 launch. 2,500+ hook-enabled pools deployed, with 31.78% of pools using hooks and 8.28% of swaps flowing through hooked pools. V4 PoolManager deployed at `0x000000000004444c5dc75cB358380D2e3dE08A90`. Hook ecosystem leaders include **Bunni v2** (am-AMM, 100x more volume/TVL than non-hooked pools), **Arrakis Pro** (dynamic fee hook), **Clanker** (MEV-protection), **Angstrom** (LP defense), and **Flaunch** ($75.6M V4 volume).
* **Continuous Clearing Auction (CCA)** is live on mainnet across **Ethereum, Unichain, Arbitrum, and Base** (Feb 2, 2026). Audited by Spearbit and OpenZeppelin. Aztec's first CCA raised **$60M from 17,000+ bidders** with no sniping. **Liquidity Launcher** wraps CCA into a complete token launch framework with atomic `multicall` for `createToken()` + `distributeToken()` + V4 pool seeding.
* **am-AMM (Auction-Managed AMM)** — Bunni v2's peer-reviewed mechanism (Financial Cryptography 2025, Adams/Moallemi/Reynolds/Robinson) enables censorship-resistant on-chain auction for pool management rights. Winning bidder sets fees, receives fee revenue, and captures arbitrage. Creates a direct revenue model for agent-managed vaults. **Bunni v2 now processes \~59% of all V4 hook volume ($138M of $236M tracked monthly)**, making it the largest V4 hook by volume. Open-source BidDog reference implementation (K=7200 block delay, 1.1x minimum bid multiplier) on GitHub.
* **V4 Hook Security**: Two major exploits inform hook design. **Cork Protocol lost $11M** (May 2025) due to missing `onlyPoolManager` access control on hook callbacks. **Bunni v2 lost \~$8.4M** across Ethereum and Unichain from precision/rounding bugs in LDF rebalancing math. A BlockSec study found **36% of community hooks** in awesome-uniswap-hooks were potentially vulnerable. KYC-gated hooks on Base are possible via permission flags.

## MCP Ecosystem

* **MCP ecosystem** has grown to 10,000+ published servers with 97M monthly SDK downloads. Anthropic donated MCP to the Linux Foundation's **Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF)** (Dec 2025), co-founded with Block and OpenAI, with supporting members AWS, Google, Microsoft, and Cloudflare — signaling it is now shared infrastructure. MCP spec version 2025-11-25 introduced **Streamable HTTP transport** (single `/mcp` endpoint, session management via `Mcp-Session-Id` header, resumable streams).
* **Third-party Uniswap MCP servers** are proliferating (FlowHunt, yurenju/uniswap-mcp, kukapay) — Gotts must own the canonical implementation before the ecosystem fragments further.

## On-Chain Intelligence & Safety Infrastructure

* **Nansen** provides smart money tracking with **500M+ labeled wallets** and a **native MCP server** for direct AI agent integration. DEX trade monitoring, smart money netflow signals, and whale watching.
* **DefiLlama** indexes **13,132+ pools across 489 protocols on 117 chains**. Pro API ($300/month) provides APY decomposition, TVL, IL estimates, and 7-day base APY trends. Primary yield discovery layer.
* **Morpho** reached **$5.8B TVL** with **2,700+ vaults**. Developer-friendly GraphQL API at `api.morpho.org/graphql` with 5,000 requests per 5 minutes rate limit. Validates the permissionless vault factory pattern.

## x402 Data Provider Ecosystem

The x402 protocol has spawned a growing ecosystem of pay-per-request data providers relevant to DeFi agents:

| Provider | Endpoint | Data Provided | Price | Payment Token |
| ------------- | --------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------- | ------------- |
| **CoinGecko** | `api.coingecko.com` | Token data, trending pools, cross-DEX pool search | $0.01/req | USDC |
| **Elsa** | `x402-api.heyelsa.ai` | Wallet portfolio, wallet analytics, yield discovery, P\&L, swap quotes | $0.001-$0.02/req | USDC or ELSA |

Elsa supports dual payment paths: USDC (via `/api/` path) and ELSA token (via `/api/elsa/` path), both returning identical data. This pattern may expand to other providers.

## Governance & Protocol Evolution

* **UNIfication governance proposal** (Feb 2026): Activating protocol fees across V2/V3/V4, burning 100M UNI, and creating aggregator hooks. Will further expand hook importance in the Uniswap ecosystem.
* **A2A protocol** updated to **v0.3 RC**, now governed by the **Linux Foundation with 150+ supporting organizations**. Task lifecycle (`submitted → working → completed/failed`) enables async agent collaboration.
* **AP2 (Agent Payments Protocol)**: Google's payment layer extending A2A, backed by **60+ organizations** including PayPal, Mastercard, and Adyen. Enables machine-to-machine micropayments alongside x402.

## V4 Hook Ecosystem

* **413 hooks deployed** powering **4,371+ pools** with **$18.29M TVL** and **$235.86M cumulative volume**.
* **Bunni v2** (am-AMM) processes **\~59% of all V4 hook volume** ($138M/month), making it the largest V4 hook by volume.
* **HookRank.io** provides the primary hook analytics platform tracking TVL, volume, fees, gas costs, and safety scores per hook.

## Security

* **ClawHub security incident** (Jan 27 -- Feb 3, 2026): 283-386 malicious skills discovered. The **ClawHavoc campaign** (335 malicious entries) targeted crypto wallet keys via Atomic Stealer malware, underscoring that safety must be structural, not optional.
* **TEE.Fail attack** (ACM CCS, October 2025): Physical side-channel attacks using <$1,000 hardware break Intel SGX, Intel TDX, and AMD SEV-SNP. Researchers forged TDX attestation proofs on Ethereum BuilderNet and extracted ECDH private keys from Secret Network enclaves. Requires physical server access but realistic for cloud-hosted agents. TEE is necessary but not sufficient as a sole security layer.
* **CVE-2025-59944**: Zero-click RCE vulnerability in MCP-based IDEs. A Google Docs file triggered an agent to execute a Python payload via MCP server. Demonstrates that tool-calling agents are uniquely vulnerable to indirect prompt injection.
* **Multi-agent defense pipeline** (arXiv:2509.14285, early 2026): Research demonstrates 100% prompt injection mitigation via mandatory guard agent between domain LLM and execution layer.

## Onchain Agent Builders

A new class of "crypto-native AI builders" demonstrates what autonomous agents look like in production:

## Reference: Olas/Autonolas

The Olas autonomous agent platform represents the current gold standard for autonomous DeFi agents. Its agents use Safe smart accounts, have executed 9.9M+ autonomous agent-to-agent transactions (up from 3.5M in mid-2025), and include prediction agents and DeFi trading agents with documented 150%+ ROI. Key lessons:

* Agents must have well-defined wallet/account boundaries.
* Every transaction must be simulatable before broadcast.
* Risk assessment must be a first-class concern, not an afterthought.
* Composability (agent-to-agent delegation) is what enables complex workflows.
